skinny asian can't bulk

im asian...5'8, 125 pounds, no one in my family is over 150 pounds, and all the women are under 100 pounds...

6% body fat,

i used diesel's bulking program, since janurary, with whey supplements, but now i am only 127 pounds...

should i be making any modifications? can i fight my genes?
 

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Can you fight your genes? Yes.

Buy the book "Advanced Sports Nutrition". Read up on the diet suggestions and outlines. Follow those. Once you get your diet established, you supplement. Creatine is always a good choice. Popular one. Diet is key, though.

Diet is very important, but that aside, are you getting any stronger? One of the things I've noticed a lot with people who aren't seeing much results at the gym, is they aren't adding weight to the bar regularly. If you want to grow more you need to create progressive overload, and increasing the weight you are lifting is one of the best ways to do this.

Also how is your routine looking?

You can't expect to see results come that fast. You only started in Januray! Keep at it and it will come. You are in it for the long run.

Two pounds in that period of time? Surely something is wrong. You should be seeing more results than that. I would put big money on the diet. Big money. Also, many people have horrible workout intensity, and form.

I highly doubt you followed Diesel's plan as well as you could. Even though it has its flaws, it will net any guy more than 2 pounds if followed correctly.

you can bulk, but it is HARD. It's mostly from the diet, I don't mean you should stuff yourself, but stuff yourself with the right foods. It's gonna be expensive if you were wondering :( I speak the truth I'm a hard gainer.

I gained 5 lbs in a year, I'm asian. I gain more weight when I stopped working out. If you have an asian diet, chances are you won't bulk a lot unless you eat a lot of fat (ie chinese cuisine). I got ****ing strong though, I was 140 and I db press 80lbs in each hands, did wide grip pullups with db, arm curled 45 lbs, reverse rope ext over 120lbs, ect.

another thing too is that especialyl if you are 5'8", it's not that nice to be bulk if you are that short, It'll just make you look more like a midget. Work the shoulders and the back but don't go nuts on the lats, I see too many 5'8" dudes walking around like the pigeon on bugs bunny, not a pretty picture.

Don't worry about bulking up so much, results are much more important.
