This is why dealing with single moms is bad in general. It doesn't matter what type of interaction is being pursued. What you describe will happen in any interaction with any single mom with children under age 18. Single moms can be good for casual sex situationships if a man is willing to put up with nonsense like that. When interacting with a single mom, the man will always be less of a priority than her children. This is something that a childless man would not enjoy. It's a lifestyle mismatch.

I met a single mom when I was a few weeks single. I actually spit game at the deli. I was super proud of myself. I didn’t realize she had a daughter but when I found out I had no idea at that time what I wanted other than to get under the sheets with someone else asap and she looked like a great candidate. She was too fresh into this life as well so I dropped her for about 6 months.

I ended up hitting her back up though and I was mode one at that time and she was ready to come right over. Then she said the magic words ‘my daughter never lets me stray too far - she texts me from her iPad and has anxiety when I am gone.’ That’s pretty much when I stopped spitting game at single moms, I blocked her and I haven’t looked back.

Single moms are famous for “sorry can’t make it tonight my kid is sick” The kid isn’t sick, it’s just the perfect excuse they use because they know you can’t say anything against it or you’ll look like the bad guy. It’s a common flake with single moms though. It’s sick actually, to lie about your kids like that.

Ehh..I have dated many single Moms in the past as I am a single Dad and this rarely happens past the first 3 dates. Honestly I can't remember more than 1 time.

This is simply her not being interested and using the easiest excuse she has available. To be sure if she didn't have kids she would have used some other readily available excuse.

You are confusing cause and effect. She didn't cancel because she is a single Mom with kids, she canceled because she just wasn't interested and regardless of her having kids or not still would have canceled anyway under the same circumstances.

This is why I usually laugh at what people say about single Moms...the truth is 90% of what people complain about is simply them not being interested in you and using that as an excuse, whereas a woman without kids would use work or being sick or her pet needing to go to the emergency vet or whatever else she thought sounded good at the time instead.

Lack of interest is lack of interest, doesn't matter what the excuse or reason is, it's the same result.

I’ve gotten that “my kid is sick” excuse on a 4th date and before a first date. It’s tough to get rejected by a single mom, don’t get me wrong, but to use your kid to lie like that just screams you have mental issues. It’s so easy to send a text “hey sorry I’m not interested” or “I changed my mind”.
