"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Getting to know a girl for about a month now. SO far I feel she is interested. Now I call Wednesday and she sounds sick with the cold. I ask her to go out on Friday and says let her see how she feels on Friday before deciding. Now, if a girl is really intereted in you, would she go out with you even though she is sick with the cold?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Think of your favourite actress

If you had a date with her and got the sniffles what would you do?

you're right max. I know most guys on here would say if girl not interetsed, NEXT!!!. But now I am thinking, hey if she is not interested, hang around her and be friends. You never know who you might meet through her.
I don't belive in nexting.

I wouldn't next. However, I wouldn't be as happy to hang out again. I don't mean get mad, I just mean don't be so eager when/if she calls you back.

Nexting is overrated on here. Whats the difference between her "faking an excuse" and nexting? Nothing, because either way you have 0 chance of seeing her. Simply, put her on a backburner til she proves otherwise.

I would put it on her to call back.

"OK, call me when you get better." If she doesn't call by sometime early next week, give her one more call, leave a message if need be, and delete the number. She will either call back or not. That will give you a VERY clear message.

Sometimes when they say that they are sick, they are actually are sick! don't need to panic over this. I mean if she's got a running nose, I think she is doing you a favour no? you don't want to taste her mucous right?!

Wait after the weekend has passed and call her up to see how she feels and schedule another date. If she makes up another excuse then right there you know she was bullsh1ting you and then you should NEXT her.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Sick CAN actually be sick sometimes. I once delayed a date myself, with a girl i was interested in, because i had some allergies that made me look like an insane vampire from hell or something. DJDamage gives some good advice here, i think.
