"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

A week ago, this girl was showing such obvious signs, playing w/hair & glancing in my direction. yadda yadda yadda introduced myself , got her name & major she was in...

Today i happen to sit next to her again. said "hey hows it going" with smile and she said hi back with a smile. Then from then up until the break i had slight anxiety...which probably caused me to yawn & stretch so many times.

Then during the break I attempted to start a convo w/her.
to cut it short, what i asked was what she felt/thought about the school/major/ and the city. As she was talking...i also noticed some slight bucktoothness on her upper teeth heh.

She gave me some unexpected answers. Which indicated that she didnt really like the school or the major. But after getting that out of my system, i felt really good about myself because i didnt care about the outcome. And even now i still feel really good/enthusiastic in general.

Anyway after that i wasnt feeling her. I saw her flaws and I did the asking and she did the answering. And at the end of class she left the room w/o saying bye. And i left teh elevator w/o saying bye. But throughout the whole class she kept moving and twitching, but eh who knows what it all means. Sure i couldve asked other stuff about her not related to school or teased her. But i didnt feel like it wouldve been appropriate knowing she's the shy type with no real rapport yet.

Aside from this situation...how do you guys usually deal with shy girls who are hesitant to open up/ talk easily in a convo?

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

haha. smile for the camera

Talkng to other girls or your others usually seems to work if they have really high IL, then again it might not.

Well even if you have lost interest in this particular broad, from my experiences in dealing with shy girls, talking to them really isn't that hard. I just usually probe around with light and "topical" questions( everybody, even mentally defunct mutes, has an opinion and or something to say.) Now in most cases (about 85% of the time) once your questioning and probing hits the right nerve, you can just stand back and "leter rip." You'll find that the most quiet women can talk you into a hole as bad as the most vein and loud mouth blonde.
As far the rapport thing goes meh I wouldn't worry about it just takes a little longer to chat up and build one (comfort issue,) but once one is built, providing that she is a naturally shy and quiet person, she'll basically latch on to you (especially if she is single.)

Yes talking to other women can help but in some cases (my personal experiences) it can also be the equivalent of falling on your own sword. From what I have read, one of the reasons I think she didn't readily open up was because she was intimidated, which is not a bad thing :D

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
