"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I work with these 2 pretty hot chicks among others and they both used to have semi crushes on me from what i have been told...however, lately they are both so shy and distant acting that it is really starting to annoy me...

For whatever reason, they both are trying to ignore me now or act very distant and it's just plain distracting...i just like to go into work and finish without any distractions...

Example...i was in the bathroom the other day and someone knocks on the door...3 minutes later i come out and it's one of the girls i am mentioning waiting right there for the bathroom facing me...she sees me and does an instant about face and turns around n my face without saying anything and walks away without acknowledging me or anyhting...just freakin awkward feeling...i don't even want to be with her or bang her...but these little acts of ignoring or whatever they are, are really just starting to tick me off...i felt like saying, for gods sake go use the freakin bathroom like what you were waiting to do and quit acting so damn weird...she does little crap like this to me all the time...i am just cordial acting toward her, nothing special...

Another one who is a secretary will come into my room while i am teaching because its her job and bring the controller to the AC...don
't ask weird rule made by our boss....but lately she will ignore me and walk right past me in this super shy manner and hand the controller to the co-teacher even if i stick my hand out for it...and i know i shouldn't care and be indifferent, but these 2 are actually starting to make me angry feeling...i feel like telling both of them to grow up and act professional...i guess i should mention that i am in Taiwan and the girls here tend to be very shy acting around guys they like or are attracted to if they don't know them too well...

Any ideas on how to break their shields or whatever they are just to not make an awkward work environment?

And i am not interested in dating either of them as i have to change my original contract and stay at this job longer than planned for financial reasons.
I almost just feel like telling both of them i am gay just to make them freakin relax.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

I don't really get along with any of the young women at my work, there's only a couple I can even hold a conversation with while the rest I don't bother to give the time of day to anymore. They all used to be nicer when we started working there (a lot of them were hired around the same time as me) but things mysteriously deteriorated. I used to wonder if there was some rumor going around but I never heard anything. However I don't give a damn anymore as I don't need their attention anyway.

The older women on the other hand just seem to adore me for some reason, maybe they're just old enough to have decent taste in men unlike these young *****es.

yeah, guess i just shouldn't let it bother me...i almost feel like i want their validation for some reason....god that sounds petty...i have many goals outside of women and have a great girl i am seeing plus some plates on the side who i try not to mess with too much...don't know why i am not immune to seeking validation...

You answered your own question. Stop caring about what they think or do. That doesn't mean sink down to their level and be petty like they are.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
