Terrible idea is terrible.

A long time ago, when I was young and stupid, I showed my ex-gf posts I made to an advice forum during our rocky period. All it did was show her even more how torn up I was over how things were going. And it simply gave her an upper hand in my opinion, since she was hard to read sometimes as it was.

That stupid mistake made me realize that showing a woman your thoughts from any dating advice forum, is a lot like telling your best friend to spill "bro talk" information to her. Information youve given him during conversations were you are open and vulnerable. This isnt to say that you can never be open and vulnerable with your woman...this is to say that she doesnt need to be completely in your head.

Now, while your girlfriend usually is one of your best friends that you open up to....there's just a different dynamic and vulnerability when compared to talking to male friends. I dont have to worry about protecting my emotions with my best bros...nor do I have to worry about things being used against me in the future.

She kind of guessed they were online.

I admitted that I visited a website & talked about women. She was asking what website, but I told her she dose'nt need to know that.

She told me I shouldn't take advice from strangers. I should talk to my close friends instead.
