All my life I've been told that I had a good arm and I won't deny it that I do but football's never really be interesting to me. Of course, my dad has wanted me to go out since I was a freshman (I'm an incoming junior now) and just yesterday an email was sent out to like 20 different people who aren't on the team (but are athletic) that said that there was a new coach this year and encouraged us all to try out. I was included in that email and I'm just wondering, is this some sort of sign
I mean if I do go out, it'll be like one of those 'omg HES going out for football?' type things, and I'm really a person about setting my standard and doing my own thing, and I think if I put myself out there vulnerable it'll show people that I've stopped trying to be myself and started to try to be a jock, and that's the last thing I want to be. I hang out with the jocks, but I never want to be one.
Did you guys go out for football when you were in highschool or are you now? How is it and do you regret not trying out?
I know this seems sort of like one of those crappy high school movies, but I could use your opinions on it.
