I feel kinda bad about it, but I feel like apologizing is a sign of weakness.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Apologizing can show strength as well, as it means that you aren't controlled by your ego.

Also, only apologize if you KNOW you are in the wrong. If not, then never.

If you've really been a **** apologizing on the spot is fine. Apologizing later is a bad idea because she would have snapped back into the emotions of the fight and just get mad at you again so it's a double fail.

Nice words but depends on your personal Style. I'd probably say I'm better than that and then make a quick apology saying why I was wrong.

Key is to make it quick and decisive and then let her do all the emoting.

"Sorry" is an action word to me. I personally don't use it and it doesn't mean anything to me if someone says it to me. Actions mean more to me than words, if someone is truly sorry, they'll show me through their actions.

So they will repair the damages...

Apologize only if you're legitimately in the wrong, if you don't feel wrong and you can't see the line of logic that leads you to be in the wrong don't apologize

At the same time be careful to remain self aware so that you don't piss people off all the time and play victim when they get mad

Apologize for what? It takes politicians 50+ years to give a statement of 'regret' to a country they previously destroyed through war or politics.

You want to apologize to a 27 year old girl who has slept with 6'2 hockey players and is looking to use you for her own personal benefit?

Got to love those Disney movies. o_O

Admit when you're wrong, otherwise it raises the NPD red flag.

Respect is not weakness, quite the opposite.

Agree, and this is actually what I ended up doing. I gave her a little extra attention. Never did apologize.
