Should I break up?

I've always liked my freedom and a couple of days in the week I just want to be on my own. Get in the couch with a good beer, watch a good show or play some games.

But with my current girlfriend, I really like her, I think, when we're together it's always a good time and we have a lot of fun. But when through the week she asks if we could get together I tend to come up with excuses because I just feel like I want to be on myself that night. I know some people have this too, but is it a sign that I just don't like her enough?

I think it would be an awesome sight - oh girlfriend, I really like you, but I don't think we should see each other anymore, you see, I love drinking beer and sitting on the couch and playing video games, alone, and you always break that fun for me, so it's not you, it's me, bye. :crackup:

It indeed sounds weird, but I just need to have some time for myself from time to time. It's not just the gaming or watching a show, it's also going on a 300 mile long drive with my car alone.

I know everyone has this need to do what he wants to do without his girl, I'm just wondering if it's weird to not want to see her for a night even though you like her.

And yeah I might be an introvert. But in a small way according to some of the symptoms I read.

Keep doing what you're doing. Spending 24/7 together is probably the most unhealthy sh!t you can do and also the quickest way to a burnout. It really is disgusting.

You should have hobbies and interests outside of your relationship, and so should she. I don't care how stupid they may or may not sound.

It really isn't. Her going clubbing is not equivalent to her fvcking half the dudes in that club.

Don't be an a**. If you want to be alone or spend time with friends then tell her. If she likes you she'll understand and give you space. If your IL is low then be grown up and tell her straight. No harm done and no hard feelings.

We all need some time for ourselves so if you like to do those things, don't stop. However, don't lie to her. Tell her that you simply need some time for yourself. If she loves you, she will understand. I am sure she likes to do some things too...So, make some compromise.

Pairs stole my thunder. I'm an introv as well and need the same alone time. Good to recharge the batteries and enjoy a cold frosty in peace. :yes:

You said you like her, so what's the problem? You don't need to have oneitis for her to 'like her enough'. Just do stuff on your own terms. No big deal.
