"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

hey

School is starting soon and I went to a study seminar in the city today. Going for a 2nd day tomorrow.

Heres the story; When I arrived at registration, there were heaps of people qued up, I went straight behind a HB8.

As the line progressed I ended up in front of her and each time I took a step, she followed and I thought she was attracted to me.

So to test it out, when I walked into the hall, there were 9 tables. Each table could fit 6 ppl.

Half of the ppl were seated, the tables wernt all full. Anyway, I went straight to an empty table and she followed me and sat right across, so I started talking to her straight away.

Turns out shes in yr12, i'm year 11 this year. So she's 1 year older then me for those who cant do maths :p

Everything is getting along well, then the presenters randomly choose people to make a public presentation to the room about the person across from them. She did me first and thats where the problem began.

When it was my turn, I forgot her name cos I was trying to remember everyone elses! DOH

She was really shocked, but I dont think upset.
Anyway, we didnt talk as much later on.

I've got the final session tomorrow and she'll be on my table again, so should I try and get her number during the lunch break?

Is it such a big deal when you forget a girls name? lol

Also, do you think she cares if I'm 1 year yonger?

I goto gym and am at 6' 160lb low bf% so I'm not really small.

gtg for a run now, so i'll post it now, hope I didnt forget anything

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Yeah absolutely, go for it. 1 Year really isn't a big deal at all, especially as you get older. When you see 16 year old guys hooking up with 13 year old girls I get the chills, but a year isn't a big deal at all.

It sounds like she's attracted to you more than enough to get a # close. Just remember "it's not big deal."

Goodluck man, keep us updated.
