Shoes to go with black pants

I'm trying to find a pair of shoes that I can wear with black pants.

Not dress shoes through although i'm looking for a good pair of those also

Any ideas or examples

What kind of black pants would you wear that wouldn't call for dress shoes? Black jeans? Get a pair of Merc bowling shoes. www.merc-clothing.com

If they are dress pants, get a pair of white dress shoes. Check out this month's issue of GQ. The look disgusted me at first but it's kind of grown on me enough to want a pair.

I too wonder what kind of black pants you have that aren't dress pants. I just sported a pair of black dress pants to an inteview and I wore brown shoes too it. I nailed the inteview, but then again it's the man that makes the clothes.

But really what kind of look are you going for? What kind of pants are these? Slacks? Jeans? Kahki? Cargo? Details please.

Unless it is a sure thing in the lateast fashion, I would never even think about bowling shoes...

I'd suggest to go look for shoes that are semi-dress shoes. I.e. you like the style, they are dressy, but not exactly fancy dress shoes, or traditional dress shoes.
I like slip on shoes in general and I ususaly for them in different store. Dont expect to buy shoes in the very first store you go to.
Visite at least 3-4 stores, see what they have and what you like.

And, some people would say only black shoes would go with black pants. I personally dont like anything black... but still wonder, would some dark borwn shoe go with black pants - how acceptable is it?

Sort of looking for a shoe thats not to dressy but not to casual

I use them with anything and nobody ever comments negatively.
