"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

She knew my ex wife

Had a lunch date with a hottie earlier this week, she is a pharma sales rep. Like most women who do pharma sales she was very attractive. This was our first meet n greet. Prior to this she initiated much contact and we had a flirty rapport.

During lunch, against my better judgment I asked her if she knew my ex wife, who is also in pharma sales in a different company.

Her eyes widened with shock: "OMG you were married to HER?!"

She said "Yes I met your ex wife a year ago. I was introduced to her by a mutual friend who said 'she's the black version of me.' Your ex wanted me to go to happy hour with her but no way, she's way out of my league."

My ex wife, who I've been divorced from 8 years now, has been in pharma sales a long time and is SUPER social, SUPER outgoing, SUPER gregarious - I mean a whole 'nother level, a consummate sales person. She's also very loud, but very personable and has a way of making you feel like you're her best friend, even though you just met.

So I see what my date meant by the "she's out of my league" comment because my ex can intimidate people...

I tried to play it off, say no she's not out of anyone's league, she's just a regular person once you get to know her blah blah blah.

Don't think it worked. My date said why does Kansas City have to have such a small dating pool where it seems there's always a connection to someone else.

Date ended, she gave me a huge hug, I told her "I'm gonna hit you up soon to go out again" She said that's fine but she still couldn't believe it....

Contacted her again a few days later to go on a real date, she says "sorry I have my boys all weekend" - no counter.

Sucks because we had a rapport but it's gone now. I shouldn't have brought up my ex because chances were 99% they had run into each other at some point.

Her and my ex are not friends, not even facebook friends - any way to salvage this or at least position myself for a chance of a better outcome??

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

First, why are you going on lunch dates? Second, why are you talking about your ex? Nothing fun can come of that. If this chick wanted to talk drama she'd go hang out with a girl somewhere. Third, she's a single mom.

And no, not much chance of salvaging this. She sees you as a boring, mundane chump obviously. Not very into you. Learn from this mistake.

Go immediate NC and date other women.
No counter offer for a date is a pretty big signal in my experience.

You just made the mistake I made a while back... never discuss your ex on a date. You see, my ex is a prof (28-yrs old) and it happened that the girl I went on the date with was a student of my ex.. Somehow, I told her she is my ex... the date ended, but not well.

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Yeah, don't talk about exes on a date. You can hint or allude to it if it comes up, but don't talk about it. Especially if she presses you for details.

not here. in the real world.
Avoid ex-discussion always always always!!!!!!!

Instantly pulls the fairy-tale mind from day-dreams of life-with-us or time-together or sexy-time with "HIS LAST WOMAN" or "HIS FORMER WIFE" and BOOM oncome negative negative feelings in the mind.

"She's a pharma sales rep"

Oh brother, what would my esteemed colleague over at CH, greatbooksformen, have to say about this?

"lolzozlozloz she's actually a salez rep for Bernanke, she gets a commission for divorcing you and converting your physical assets into fiat dollarz lozlzolzoz"

I used to think GBFM was a raving lunatic, but the more I understand of the fiat monetary system, the more I see the correlations between it and all the other ivory tower monstrosities of the left (feminism and the divorce state, women's studies, Keynesian economics, socialism, etc)

Until she proves otherwise, she's working for the Fed lozlzolzoz
