Shark Basic Playboy CD: genius or rip off?

I'm listening to a CD called Shark Basic Playboy for a second time now. To be honest, I couldn't get past Shark's thick (Portuguse?) accent the first time 'round and found myself LMAO on many occasions during my first listen.

After thinking about what Shark has said, in retrospect, it looks like he is advocating using a direct approach at bars and especially at clubs. Has anyone listened to this CD and tried using any of Shark's openers? Here are some of them:

'I like you girls and I would like to get to know you.'
'You're beautiful, and I would like to get to know you.'
'If you look at me like that, then you can also....TALK to me.' (This opener is supposed to be used after a SOI/IOI).

I'm tired of using indirect approaches, and have no time to use them during the day anyway when they are most useful so Sharks' approach is attractive to me. However, I don't want to look like a jackazz going around using canned openers that everyone has used which all of the HB's have heard. Any experience (successful or unsuccessful) using the Shark CD? Respond.

The direct approach does work, but you have to be entirely congruent and make sure it's clear that you are still qualifying them, and that they don't automatically win you ust because of their looks. It's like you are acknowledging that they are hot, so you can get it out of the way and see if they are cool chicks too, which means they have to prove to you they are as nice as they look.

To use the direct approach, absolutely everything about you must say that you do this all the time, get heaps of chicks, will walk away if they are boring or *****y, etc. Essentially you have to be a DJ and look the part. Then it can work great.

you should be direct just dont be sleazy. if your confident you can pull it off. if your shy and indirect then your waiting on the girl to make the move which most likley wont happen. not heard sharks cd where can i get it from?

Shark's CD is basic but very good...and also really funny. Xysen and I have a tradition of listening to it when he comes up to Boston to sarge with me.
