"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I love this fvcking show. Always have. Within the relationship dynamic it's as real as real gets on television. If you want to know what women talk about and think about watch the show. Learn it, live it, love it.

More importantly, women are absolutely obsessed with it. I've come to realize if you know the nuances of the show; the characters, the plot and sub-plots, the situations and relatability to our own relationships it is instant social proof. Really look at it. The characters have great style in their clothing, the dialogue is true, the situations these girls find themselves in can and ,more than likely, happen to those of us who brave the social scene.

I came up with a perfect opener which I've used with great aplomb. Although it does work better when you're hanging out with women.

Here it is:

"Hey you guys, I only have a couple of minutes then I need to get back to my friends but I needed to find something out? Who is Mr. Big? The reason I ask is that my friends over there and the waitress are all saying that I remind them of a Mr. Big, is that a good thing?"

Boom! Instant social proof and elevated status. The chicks light up and throw out all kinds of reciprocal flow about how great he is and what a true man should be and connecting that to me just slides me in! Ah, the joy of emerald eyes aglow!

I urge you to lose the disdain for the show and look at it from a learning perspective.

"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

...hmm.

I heard it was a very cynical, negative show, that it was all about the joy of using/manipulating men.

BUT I may put it on netflix if you recommend it so highly.

Big fvcking shocker. If there ever comes a show with " 'Hor " in the title you'll be right in front of the tube with a big bucket of fried yardbird soaking it up.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

Nothing to lose... if you think it's something that's going to genuinely help me, then I'm willing to give it a shot.

Any knowledge is good. Especially in this game.

My ex loved that show. I watched it enough times to know the plot and the main characters, and I've said it before....it's a good show.

Why do women eat it up? because it's a reflection of their desires. They can see themselves in the characters. They also see traits that they would LIKE to have themselves.

I didn't watch the show enough to know WHY, but the ex did compare me to that Mr Big character. I think it had something to do with the fact that she saw me as somewhat of an enigma and the fact that I wasn't falling all over myself to commit. I'll take it as a compliment :)

I was at a bar and a group of HB7s and 8s told me I looked like Jack from that show. Would have been a good opportunity if I knew who the hell they were talking about.

There was no "Jack" on SATC. There's a Jack on Lost, I guess that's as good if not better than Mr. Big.

Sh!t man, substitute Jack for Mr. Big in my Mr. Big opener and It's another gold line!

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I've never watched that show once, and never had any interest to. What are all women hypnotized by this damn show? Even my mom tried to get me to sit down and watch it once. I watched for about 5 minutes then got up and left.

I've learned quite a bit from watching the show. Plus, as I've stated previously, it's a huge leap in social status.

I don't watch it for the girls (The 4 of them have faces that resemble feet) but it is so well written that it begs to be talked about.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I just got through the first season, Mr. Big is very suave.

If you are a newbie you should watch the show.

I wouldnt say its a must watch for the male characters, but moreso relationship dynamics as the OP said and just the psyche of an array of women.

I like the show because of its up-tempo, witty, approach to everything, but I guess you can also find some seduction related ideas in it also
