why did you have to delete my thread about Arafat?

in case you didnt notice the whole post was sarcastic. i been comin to anything else forum on and off for 2 years and havent seen this kinda crap before,these latest trigger happy moderators just delete everything they can get their hands on, whether its justified or not. its obvious you would delete threads about bush, election or the war, but in this one the closest thing even remotely related to politics was when i jokingly said there will be no dictators left...so what now we cant even use WORDS that have any political connection??

That thread could have went political really fast. Although i do believe that it shouldn't have been deleted until it went political. who am I to judge?

We're lazy, and its easy to have a broad view of political and just close everything before they get outa hand.

what is the reason behind the ban on political threads?

whats the stance u guys are taking. I want to hear a good reason why we can't have a discussion about matters that may have a political angle to them- like most issues do anyhow- bit like that other guy wanting to understand other peoples views on the war in iraq.

Its not everyday i get the opportunity to discuss these things from people living in america or norway or wherever.

Furthermore, If there is a more intellectually mature site on the internet where this has been made possible please can you direct me there.

Do a search in this forum. Type in 'politics' or 'political'. That should bring up the posts that will answer your question.
