"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Depends on how secure you are. I'm highly secure.

What keeps her from getting a different job and hooking up with some other dude? At least this way you know who to suspect.

Regardless if she is going to cheat she will find a way. And if you are on your toes you will see the signs.
100%. All that's going to happen is she will be doing it under over and be very good at covering her tracks and hiding it rather than it being out in the open.

Not sure why some.men try and kid themselevs as if them giving ultimatums and throwing temper tantrums about their behavior is going to make them actually change it. It's a sign of them lacking respect for the man, and acting in a way that is going lower her respect further surely is not going to help them, other than they can live in their make believe world where everything is OK.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Advice from the old lady:

This gal seems pretty sensible to me. She cannot control how her family is. She didn't get to pick her family, and she holds them at arm's length because she does not blindly subscribe to whatever they say. She ran away to escape arranged marriage to a man she found gross, and chose someone else, and she is divorced because she would not tolerate sexual infidelity.....I see those decisions as coming from a place of high self esteem & high self respect. Those decisions meant she had to be resourceful and self reliant. Capable. Those are good qualities rooted in solid values.

So what if she works at the ex husband's business. She has to work somewhere and her work situation has some positives.

Do not be so insecure as to be silly, OP. She is being honest & transparent about work. Do not, through your own ego & insecurity, teach her to shield you from the truth. Value her honesty & drive on.

You complaining about her work setting makes you appear childish, immature & insecure. Its not a good reflection on you.

Agree with @The Duke on this. Let it ride & see where it goes. There are no perfect people. Honestly she sounds like a sensible well grounded woman with standards.

It is still early. Be observant and cool and see how things develop.
