Serious Poll Question About Moderators

Here is your one chance to really let your voice be heard.

There have been a lot of complaints in the Suggestions and Feedback forum that moderators are "disrespectful", "mean", "Nazi/fascists", "hypocritical", et cetera. Apparently a lot of people are dissatisfied with some of their friendly neighborhood moderators.

In an effort to appease some of these people, I have toned down some of my bantering with other moderators and posters, and reduced the frequency of quips and one-liners on threads. This has resulted in receiving (more private) complaints that the joking and entertainment that some enjoy has subsided recently.

So this poll is basically to see which camp you fall into, and to see where the majority opinion lies on this one.

I will also keep an eye on this post. If I see any cheating going on with the voting like there was in the fantizmu thread. If I see that going on, the poll will be back to "zero" on both sides. If it happens again, thread closed.

I think you know which side I am on Gio, I'm just saving my vote.

I don't have a problem with the joking at all. In fact, I laugh at most of the jokes (Eternal's excluded, of course ) However, I am dissappointed with how the moderators act at times when they are doing their "jobs" as moderators or just being *******s. Jokes are one thing, plain disrespect and idiocy is another.

This would be my first post but I've been reading some of the post on this message board.

I infrequently see moderators being nice - so that poll must have been made out of sarcasm

I personally perfer the jokes and insults. Regaurdless who they are made to they are only jokes made for pure entertainment.

i think theres nothing wrong with it, the problem is that those who do not like it, decide to fight back and thats when it gets out of hand.
