Hey everyone, this board has been good to me, so I'm gonna give something back to you guys.
I heard about self hypnosis, and passed it off as bull. But it does work. I'm not sure how, it's either power of self suggestion or slight subconscious conditioning, I don't have enough psych classes under my belt to know for sure. But it does work. It's simple. If you have a problem that you cannot overcome, this will help. It can cure you of subconscious things that you're not aware of or cant change. Like crippling shyness, overwhelming laziness etc. Here's how:
Lay down comfortably. Take 5 minutes to let your heartrate come down and your breathing slow. Then relax your whole body one bit at a time, let them sink down into the bed/couch. First your feet, then knees, then hips, then back, then chest, then arms, then neck, then head, and finally your 'consciousness'. Its hard to explain that last part, if you've ever been high you probably get it. Do that all the way through 3 or 4 times. By that point you should feel different. You are so relaxed your subconscious is active. Then simply repeat in your mind what you want. If you can visualize it, thats better. Try not to talk or move. repeat it for 5 or 10 minutes. when your done, count to 3 and then get up. A few times a day for a week should really help.
I know I'm, probably gonna catch sh!t for this from people saying i'm stupid or this is retarded and would never work. But it does. Try it, what do you have to lose?
