"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Lately, I have noticed a major problem in my social life, which was kind of a surprise. I often find myself assuming the worst, as in that people are thinking bad things about me and such. this isnt just in romantic situations, but in all situations. This isnt about my confidence with girls, so much as my overall self health. I feel a lot of Self Hate, which can never be good. Anyone else have this problem, and anyone have a way that helped them to overcome it? (Meditation, things like that, what works?..."

Thanks a bunch

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Hey man, its funny how this is, i dont know if i completely understood what you are saying. i wasnt depressed i was just unhapy with myself....you have to change it. Its tough to do, but it happened just one day. I woke worked out in the morning, and went to school. The first people i saw i just cracked into their group started joking around. Smile to everyon ein the halls, make sure to approach some chick.

other then that, ever morning you wake up, compliment yourself.

When other people dislike you, its hard to avoid but try to. Look at it this way, they dislike you cuz you bother them, so why not bother them more???

people dont kill me its my first post ahha.

I used to have the same problem through Jr. High and into my freshman year. I figured out a few things that help. One is to do things you like no matter what others have to say, if they say something about it just think to yourself that they are stupid and don't know what is fun. Take that last phrase a little farther, think of yourself as always right, if you think yourself always wrong it will really bring you down. Also talk it up a bit with other people, who cares if they think they are better than you, being in the lower class level of the school I had a interesting conversation with the home coming queen runner up. I hope these help.

its wierd, i know my good qualities, however i still have that inner gut reaction to think a certain way. It holds me back in every part of my life. I do agree with you though, the best way to fight it is to pull a Nike and "just do it".

I like the way Keg said it, i dont know if this will help you. But pick up a martial art, Tae Kwon Do, or Karate ( it builds confidence and control over mind ). Always remember your doing this for yourself noone else!.

oh and dont forget to dance :)woo: :cheer: :woo: )

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

another thing that helps, sounds odd, but helps is just as you are going to sleep repeat many times to yourself what ever you want to feel, this is a great thing to do. I works with all situations.

Everyone else feels the same way kid.

What will separate you from 99% of the population is not letting a silly little thing like doubt or insecurity get in the way of whatever you want to do.

Good luck...

One of simplest things I do daily is to assume that me > you. In everything. Of course, you will be proven wrong occassionally, but self confidence usually wins over at just about everything.

Oh, and start using the word Awesome a lot. I always say stuff like "But, that's simply because i'm awesome", and it helps. It's also a good word, that not many people use in such a regular manner.

I dont think i ever hated myself, just others. My brother is the most annoying little b*stard ever, so i hate him in stead.

- not HATE hate just brother hate
- I just fight him

Thers an idea, get a punchbag and hit it when angry. Its easy really :D
