Saying hi to women as you walk past?

So, another real-quick micro game question...at uni (or just in general), you often see people you know passing by. If you both notice each other/make eye contact, obviously you acknowledge each other say 'sup, and it's all good.

But there are cases in which you see the other person, but the other person doesn't see you. If it's one of my bros, hell yeah I'd call out to him. But for women, I'm a little more cautious - calling out to a girl like this seems a bit attention/validation seeking...or am I overthinking it?

Is it cool to call out to a girl if she doesn't notice you passing by? I ask this, because I sometimes feel awkward when i kinda pass by without acknowledging someone I know, and they may have noticed me as I passed by or were engaged in conversation, etc.

you can do it, no big deal,don't worry what random people think of you unless you plan to loudly embarass yourself in front of a big crowd for some reason.

though, do expect most women to completely ignore you, women are like that, not so friendly.

I think its a great idea. I knew a guy who used to do that, eventually he knew half the campus. It could have been a great way to slay endless chicks but he was a relationship guy.
