"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I think this wed I am going to go out sarging alone. There's a club I like that opens up at 9 but doesn't start getting crowded till 11:00. I'm wondering if it's best to show up a bit early, or after everyone is there.

I know some of you guys say sarging solo is great. To be honest, I'm a bit self-conscious abou it. Any tips on doing this solo? Like the best time to show up, what to say if she asks "who are you here with?" If you are at a club alone, doesn't that lower your social proof?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

i have had mixed results, depending on the venue.

sarging solo in a crowded club can be fun and exciting, or it could be intimidating and really mess with your state.

i'm just starting to do this, but the best tip i can give is - you are only solo until you start talking to someone. open up immediately, even with the bartender or waitress. open up anyone, guys included, groups. you will have to really put an effort into being 'on'.

it may help to use an opener like 'hey i just moved to the area, where are the cool clubs?'

if someone asks if you're alone say 'yeah i find it easier to meet new people when i go out alone'. most will admire your attitude.

Holy b*tch fest in here today.

Anyhow, yeah, I've done this a couple of times lately. Many of my freinds are wimping out of the bar game, so I've wandered down to places on my own. Usually I'll bump into people I know somewhat as customers from works, and get enough social contact with that.

Also, when you're not with someone else, you don't have to worry about them. You can just do what you want. I think I've had my best success (though very recent and very limited) on my own.

As an older guy, though (31), I have to watch out for the "creepy old man" factor.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Don't call it sarging you geek.
lol...good call.

I tried this once and felt like an idiot waiting in the line on my bill, particulalry when it was nearly all lads around me...but once inside, you can talk to anyone and they'll be cool with you (mostly because they're wankered or doing pills). But that was in Bolton...lol
