The latest dating trend I see is girls stating they are "sapiosexual" on their OLD profiles. Is this a deal where if you have to say your are, you aren't? Have any of you dated anyone that made this claim?

Sapiosexual: Attracted to intelligence or the human mind. A person who finds intelligence to be a sexually attractive quality in others.

Most of them are liars. They Hate intelligence.

Read a woman's actions, not her words or her profile.

Just the last trend for women who have to show how special they are...so special that they write what all the others do.

If you use tinder you probably noticed that most of the girls "like to travel", "picture with dog or cat", "tatoos", "picture of her either clubbing or showing her life style","something about how special they are" (sapiosexual is an example).

Then of course all the "swipe left if...." as if you could match her by swiping right without her consent...

But again we cant be mad at them, they as a sex are sheepminded and herd oriented, too much individuality means that she is rejected..and this usually happens only cause of look nowadays.

Hmmm. Wasn't aware that had become a buzzword. I do know women for whom intelligence was the highest priority criteria, including my best friend from college.

She married a reservist military officer who has advanced now to lieutenant colonel with graduate degrees in both physics & psychology. Her husband sees veterans with PTSD. They've been married almost 20 years & she (very smart herself) is still completely enamored with his brains.

Yeah. It's not really a new thing. But like everything else it's relative; and 'intelligence' is highly variable, even within an individual.

You can have academic degrees coming out of your a$$, but have no real world practical knowledge, social skills, or sense of humour. I like bit of intellectual conversation here and there, but there comes a point where the talking has to stop and the fcking has to start. I've met a fair number of intelligent women in my life, and not one of them has wanted me to speak Latin, recite algebraic equations or quote French literature in the bedroom.

Intelligence is only one facet of personality, which in turn is only one facet of attraction. But of course in this age of mass disenfranchisement, people latch on to anything to provide a sense of identity.

You can tell someones intelligence by how they put information together. So it's not talking about physics or math. And yes intellect depth and wisdom in a female gets my blood moving.

I look at these emerging terms and laugh when I hear "pansexual" and "asexual" ad infinitum. WTF is wrong with modern society today?

It's a bull**** qualifier designer to weed out guys. Most guys will tell a "sapiosexual" woman why they are smart and she gets bored.

Along as you don't come off like a sad you're good to go.
