What in hell is going on? Why is this happening? Why would you be prohibited from growing your own food?

It is just a poor policy decision by a few stores.

Some seed companies are behind on orders due to a lot of new demand. I order from Morgan County Seed. They are only about a week behind filling orders, which is normal for them. I would tell you to order there, but who knows what shipping to Canada is like at the moment. It is screwy under normal circumstances.

Yes, and odds are any seeds that are available now were packaged by non infected people before the Covid outbreaks …
The seeds have a longer shelf life than you would think.
Any fully grown veggies only have to be washed with an antibacterial soap before consumption.

It can be anything recently handled ,even if it was mailed to you. A box. A food item picked up at grocery. Something you stepped on or touched if you went outside.

If anyone wanted to be safest they would disinfect the said item, and also disinfect their hands after handling.

Spray bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide others are using Rubbing Alcohol. They are spraying before the stuff leaves the baskets at the grocery stores. For the disinfectant procedure it best to let the item stay moist for 10-20 minutes.

I think we can get a few processes together for the guys to make it a lot safer for us. Shoes obviously should come off at front door. Some are spraying soles and outers with the peroxide or rubbing alcohol after being outside.

You have to wonder what the underlying reason for this really is. I will be curious to see if the government messes with hunting laws this year. If they do, then we know something screwball is going on.

There are so many deer downstate where I live that I come close to hitting one on a daily basis. The best thing the state could do is make this year open season and let hunters take as many as they want. Deer were intentionally introduced back into the ecosystem after their predators had been removed in the 1960s. It was an experiment to draw hunters. They are so overpopulated now that it is about impossible to have a garden without a fence. I just dropped a couple hundred bucks on electric fence supplies. I am looking forward to setting it up, complete with peanut butter bait strips as a special gift for the deer.
