Rome Total War on a Mac

Here's the deal. My sister just won a brand new 20'' Imac. I want to put my Rome total war on it, so i tried. Unlike a PC however, the autorun doesnt come on. Is it possible to run RTW on an IMAC and if so, how?

You can't just pop the pc version of the cd in a mac and expect it to work.

I think there is some way to emulate a pc on a mac which would allow you to play pc games, but I hate macs with a passion and thus have never taken the time to figure out how. Maybe someone else can help.

Aaaah Total War series rocks! Can't wait for Empires! The other RTS companies should shut their shutters and go home.

i also hate Macs, why havn't they gone redundant by now?

and the Total War series is very different to other RTS's, there will always be a spot for more diversity, such as Dawn of War and CoH style play, and the traditional recouse gathering CnC and Starcraft style of play

you can dual-boot on a mac. as in you can install windows on it and play your game. they have intel chips now so its the same as running it on a pc.

The Mac doesn't have enough memory. The memory is too slow. It needs a videocard. The CPU is slow. And the screen is not 24-bit. Its only 6-bit. Able to display about 200,000-300,000 color. It simulates 24-bit color by the use of patterns which looks like crap.


Get a real computer. Not some glossy, ridiculously overpriced novelty.
