Roadtrip by myself

I just bought a new car, it will be delivered in a few months and was thinking of making a roadtrip to burn it in.

Problem is, I've never gone on a trip by myself. A roadtrip might be better, because you stay in a place just for a couple of hours or a day maximum. The horror of being seen just by myself in a restaurant or a pub is a great anxiety. An anxiety I need to get over, as one of many. But then again, I want to see so many places and am such an introvert that I need to do it sometime.

Do you guys think this is a good idea?

Nothing wrong with going out by yourself. Don't worry about who sees you and what they think. But if you are worried look at it like this. For all they know you could be in town on business and business people and go out alone and all the time.
