What do you guys think is the best way to rekindle interest in an ex gf:

1) Contacting her months after breakup in her birthday to try to meet up and continue as friends? And build attraction from there, show her that you've moved on, all is cool, talk about new places you've been to make her wonder with whom...

2) Ignoring it completely which may shock her and get her thinking about what you're doing, if you have forgotten already about her.

FYI she broke up with me 3 months ago, after 2y.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Depends on how you guys broke up, what happened leading up to it, if you handled it coolly/begged,yelled,pleaded, if she jumped onto someone else, etc.

We had the perfect relationship, she even told me when breaking up that she was 100% in love but then i left to study abroad for 6 months.

When I came back she told me she didn't feel the same and she lost the hope in the relationship, that she wasn't excited about it anymore.

I handled it really coolly, never begged or pleaded. I contacted her again after 1 month and asked her if she was sure that this was what she wanted. She said that we could only stay as friends and that I should meet other people, I told her we couldn't be friends as she has not cared for me at all since we broke up, and she said that it was to help me recover. I reacted a bit angrily but she texted me happy birthday etc last month, and this week is her birthday.
