How come when I try to give rep points it says you have to spread it around before giving it to guru again. When I can honestly say I haven't given any to guru before or anyone in a while for that matter.

It always says that when you rep someone. They got the rep. I think it means that you have to go and rep a different person before you can rep that same person again.

Despite appearances, rep points aren't broken, they're just on a very small scale... meaning that it takes upwards of 100 points to get 2 bars.

I disagree because I repped someone and it asked me to put in a comment. So there must be a different reason.

I Turned off my rep points long ago. One of the reasons I really liked this forum was b/c we didn't really use them. Now that its the new craze though I will rep others for their sake.

If you see a post that you think gives good advice, give someone positive reputation. If you think it sucks, give negative rep. There is no real use for it right now aside from showing who gives good advice and who gives bad, though it's still early (and flawed when you see some of the people with higher rep...)
