What are you looking for in a city? Do you work remotely?
Vibrant social scene and relatively close to wilderness/nature parks. I was going to consider Seattle or Portland originally but they're way too leftist now and pretty sure cost of living is quite high. I was thinking Phoenix too but the cost of living is too high there as well.

And yes I do

Every city in North America with a vibrant social scene is expensive as fvck and “leftist.” You could try some mid-tier cities like Raleigh or Columbus but the social scene just isn’t going to be all that great. I heard Nashville is on the come up.

There will be nowhere to run once the corporations buy most or all of the houses. They are slowly doing it. People cant compete to buy a house when these corporations can offer cash for the houses and even offer more then what the asking price is. Running away from the problem is not the solution. Stay and fight for what you believe in. This will be coming to your city soon if it hasnt already. There goal is to eventually raise rent prices everywhere and buy most of the houses so you have no choice but to rent from them.
No there won't - with housing prices high, builders will be swooping in and adding to the supply, and so cities that are not geographically constrained will be able to easily add housing stock on the fringes (e.g., Dallas, Phoenix).

Rents are skyrocketting, gas prices skyrocketting, food prices skyrocketting....... but hey, no more mean tweets.
It could mean that chicks don't have enough to live on, and so they will start EscortMaxxing to pay the bills.

Indeed... but even women will suffer in this new economy. The fact of the matter is that most rich guys are also super stingy/cheap. Even if they do escortmaxx, they usually stick to 1 ~ 2 escorts that they trust and won't try new girls. And the regulars that they have on hand are absolute stunners.

So an average girl looking to escort on the side for extra cash will have slim pickings since most men are financially devastated.

Recall that even a few years ago when things were relatively easier, men were still lagging behind women in college graduations.

There won't be enough men with disposable income to retain services from these new working girls....

.....but thank goodness there are no more mean tweets, it breaks my heart every time a nation below the equator gets (rightfully) called a sh/thole.....

I think it's better for men to get desire sex, but at $7 an hour, I'd indulge in that.

That is not what FDR said when minimum wage was created in the 1930s. On the contrary. I know people have a fuzzy view of history some times.

Yes, they need public assistance because minimum wage does not afford market rent anywhere in the country. So who are taxpayers actually subsidizing- the labor or the employer?
Pretty sure the cost of living is higher now than in the 1930's. In addition, we're no longer on the gold standard, so 1.00 in 1930 was a 1.00 backed by gold or silver. Now, a dollar is a piece of cloth and paper backed by the full faith of the US feds (I.E. nothing). Hence the reason why it's purchasing power goes down all the time.

Phoenix has gotten way too expensive. You could go two hours south to Tucson for more reasonable costs. However, Tucson has a big downside. There isn't much of a social scene for those who aren't undergrad/grad students at the university, military personnel at the Air Force base, or retirees. I'd say Tucson is a pass though.

Nice goal post move. The minimum wage was created in the 1930s to guarantee a livable wage for US workers. Straight out of FDR’s mouth. Not only that, most households were single income not dual income. Corporate propaganda in 2022 might try to convince you otherwise.

The US dollar is not backed by “nothing.” It is backed by all the goods and services in the US economy. You guys take this Fed conspiracy stuff too far. Whether we trade dollars, oil, or chickens, land in NYC or California will be significantly more costly than land in the center of the country.

Wrong... The U.S. Dollar is backed by debt. Once debt is all paid, no more money in circulation. If you go to a bank and get a loan for $1000 dollars, that money didn't exist until you owed it.

A dollar in 1930 was worth 16.99 today. That's basically 17 times the current value. (https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/). FDR never imagined that Nixon would remove us from the gold standard. Thus, the dollar continues to lose value. Thus, min. wage is no longer a livable wage.

The U.S. Treasury prints the Federal Reserve notes, which are backed by the U.S. government. Nothing else. Not the economy, not your Aunt Suzie's government pension. Not social security, Nothing. Just like every other country.

The USD is basically DOGECOIN at this point, a worthless meme that inspires people to either chuckle or roll their eyes....

This conversation is way over your head. You said it is backed by nothing. Now you backtrack and say it’s backed by Federal Reserve notes. Clueless.

I stand by my comment. If you had even a tiny understanding beyond conspiracy theories, it would make sense. The US dollar is backed by all the goods and services in the US economy.

Technically, it's backed by the fact that it is the de facto only way that legal judgments can be paid.

Yes, backed by nothing. Not sure why you cannot comprehend. It is not, in no way backed by the goods and services of the economy, just the full faith and credit of the federal government. We default, the rest of the world is not going to go and take our goods and services. How would one take a service away from a private citizen anyway?
