Rant: This idea of a top 20% male/Chad online is so unbelievably ridiculous

You have an unrealistically narrow definition of a "chad." Most people's stereotypical image is of a good-looking douchey frat guy. It's not necessarily one of a rich chad.

The other good looking guys I knew with the highest numbers were laying mostly 6's and 7's. An occasional 8 here and there. But most of their lays were with average looking girls you might not take a second look at, except that these guys really honed in on them if they showed any interest.

Literally me lol. For the longest time, my sex life was just an endless supply of 7's. I would say there were definitely a decent amount of 7.5-8.2's though.

In regards to the criteria that OP mentioned, I've got the first 3. I don't think your job matters much for hookups (only thing that matters is your place/location).

A lot of times the distinction between 5/6/7 is largely arbitrary depending on how drunk, horny, or how good of a mood you're in. It's an amorphous category of girls who are in the 'not bad' or 'cute enough' category with maybe an extra point for being nice, chatty, and/or flirty.

That slightly pudgy and/or short 5 or 6 who dresses up, wears heels and has her hair did gets bumped up a point or two for effort.

One of my friends had a 'harem' but all of the girls were in this 'not bad/cute enough' category, with the cutest girl being a legit, indisputable 7.

This is why most well adjusted guys are not trying to max out the number of girls they lay. Quality is in fact more important than quantity. Do you want a garage full of 92 ford fiesta's or a single 2018 Ferrari?

I see what you're saying but I have a diff perspective.

I'm a big partier who likes his independence and loves the thrill of banging new women (trying to settle down but my current relationship is on the rocks).

It's not about maxing out your number (I don't even know what my number is)... it's about having a fun night and maybe waking up with some random girl you didn't even know before (get both an ego boost, a post-orgasm boost, and an interesting memory/story to tell).

This gets old though. Eventually, you wanna find a girl who you can do boyfriend/girlfriend **** and eventually start a family, but then when your relationship goes sour you realize that you completely lost your independence and you start posting on this board lol.
