Random girl messages me on FB

History: 26yr old, male. Havn't been with a girl in almost 7yrs, and havn't been in many relationships in general. Not terrible looking, just shy, passive, not big into the bar scene, never go out anymore.

SO I am pretty outspoken on my political beliefs on facebook and argue with a few of my friends regularly, whatever. This chick messages me the other day about an argument, she used to work with one of the friends I was arguing with. We have similar views and began chatting back and forth. Eventually I switched politics to small talk and we've been messaging each other for a few days now. Our messages lately seem to fade from a few minute responses, to an hour to respond, to hours to respond. Usually she ends up messaging me back after I pass out and ill respond sometime the next day, usually later in the day and our convo will continue..

Today she casually mentioned she has a bf.. but, I kind of knew that. My friend told me her bf is a "tool" and basically told me I should ask her to hangout. She is younger, 21. Seems really cool, cute and smart. We have a bunch of common interests. I havnt asked her out.. yet. Normally by now I would of mustered up enough courage to ask the girl if she wanted to meet up and hang out, but now, especially since she mentioned him I am kinda thinking of just bailing on the idea.

I don't want to fall into the "friendzone" so I am thinking of either not talking to her and bailing or being alittle more aggressive / flirty, making my intentions clear and possibly just flat out ask her if she wants to meet up sometime.

Longer you wait the more she'll friendzone you, I had experience where the girl mentionned her boyfriend just to see if it would stop you from sleeping with her (yep, sometimes they want to cheat)

In my case, it did stop me... but I had several others at the same time and was more stupid back than

PS: Work on yourself, gym/dance/run, passions.... be healthy mentally to be healthy physically... politics is good.... Girls in politics like to XXXX alot

Boyfriend schmoyfriend. If she isn't married she's fair game. What Von said. Do that. If that doesn't work get yourself out of the house and interact with other people some way. Join the Jaycees or young (whatever your political affiliation is) or get active in a local campaign. Actually do that even if you do get her on a date. Something about your viewpoint, wit, and brain appeals to this woman. That is good! Just carry on the same way you have bantered online with her in a live setting and it might just go great!

And for heavens sake quit analyzing the text convo like it's the Rosetta Stone or the Dead Sea Scrolls. Women and men both do WAY too much of that.
