Look for one without iron. If like me you eat a ****load of red meat, you'll be getting more than enough iron from your diet. Too much iron can lead to iron overload. I decrease my iron levels by taking calcium or drinking tea with meals, (tannins inhibit iron absorption) and by giving blood as much as possible. Other than that, a few other things you should be looking out for are:

Magnesium/Zinc etc. in forms other than 'oxide', (oxides don't absorb for ****)
Selenium
High B-vitamins
Other decent antioxidants
Non-synthetic forms of Vitamins A + D
Digestive enzymes

NOW ADAM is decent and cheapish and it's what I use. Beverly International Super Pack is good apart from the iron.

Personally I also take extra magnesium and vitamin C.

Many of these vitamins contain megadoses of b-vitamins..which you don't need, but it is cheap to include. you don't need 3,000% of the USRDA for b-vitamins, I think 400-500% of the USRDA is much more reasonable.

Try New Chapter Organics organics. no iron in the mens formulas. their formulation makes alot of sense, and is very bioavailable.

FYI: New Chapter Organics makes the Organic vitimens for the inhouse vitamen shoppe brand.

'every man' and 'every man one/day.' I like the 'every man' which is 3 pills a day.

I also like shaklee products. they actually do peer-reviewed research. not cheap, but excellent quality.

heck for cheap insurance take a 1-2 Centrum a day. If you body is deficent it will absorb if needed...
