Question On 2015 Camaro Exhaust Options

1. Why do you care what your engine sounds like to other people?
2. Why do you care what others think about your choosing a V6 vs a V8?
3. What perceived need are you trying to fulfill by seeking/gaining the approval of others with the sound of your engine?
4. What perceived need are you trying to fulfill by seeking/gaining the approval of others with the size of your engine?

Well, with the engine again, I'm not really that concerned with that because I didn't see the justification for spending $13k more for a V8 other than the sound.

Now, I do like the V8 sound, I like the muscle car sound, that's why I'm adding the MRTv2 to get a more muscle sound rather than the stock sound.

In terms of why do I care about what others think about my car and what need am I seeking to fulfilling by gaining the approval of others based on it....well....it's like this.

I'm fully aware that you can get women without having flashy cars, money and a 6 pack, I'm fully aware of this. But having those three things helps you to attract MORE women and attract them more efficiently. In addition, you live a much better and enjoyable life having those three things than not having them. PLUS, I do have a ego and I like to be THE SHYT.

I realize this and I seek out things like flashy cars, my 6 pack, and making more money based on it. Am I shallow? I guess, depending on how you perceive it. In my opinion, I'm just supplying to the market certain values that they find attractive WHILE enjoying my life at the same time.

Again, why does a woman wear makeup? Why does a woman wear body squeeze under her dress to suck some of her fat in? She's doing it because MEN find women with pretty faces and thinner bodies as more attractive than women without them. I'm technically doing the same thing WHILE enjoying life with the car, 6 pack and money at the same time.

6. What matters more to you, how you feel about you and your life, or how your family feels/thinks about you and your life?
7. What matters more to you, how you feel about you and your life, or how men you respect feel/think about you and your life?
8. What matters more to you, how you feel about you and your life, or how black women feel/think about you and your life?

- Answer to Number 5 is I care about image to a certain extent. I know it's COOL to say, "I don't give a fvck what anybody thinks" but if that were really the truth, nobody would do 90% of the things they do. Let's keep it real. We all care what certain people think, you can't please everybody but let's keep it real....we ALL seek to please SOMEBODY.

- Answer to Numbers 6, 7, and 8 is it's a combination. I really don't have guy friends like that, other than guys I do business with, but I still want to maintain a particular IMAGE with guys in general to where they see me and see value. Same with my family and same with women. Out of all three of these, women are the MOST important because I stand to gain something from them which is sex and companionship. The reason I choose not to keep guy friends is because I have NOTHING to gain from them. I really have nothing to gain from family members either.

I have a V8 Challenger. I've driven many 6 cylinder cars and many 8 cylinder cars just because I pretty much travel for a living. I like V8 honestly because it's quicker and sounds better. Of course mods on a V6 can fix that but I'm really into cars so I like to drive the best out of the bunch. I'm kind of the same way with cologne. I like to have the best colognes (exclusive stuff).

It's really just a status. If I rolled up next to you I'd smile and think you don't have money because you have a base Camaro. But you shouldn't care about what I think. To each his own. Ya know.

Tenacity, my intent was not to suggest you are shallow. My thoughts were not to judge you. I was wondering how deeply do your choices fulfill YOU? Do your choices give you the life YOU most deeply want? I was wondering if and how that motivates your choices and what you were aware of. I have been considering different approaches and the results they get.

Thanks LYD, I'm going to read through that thread. To be honest, I'm on the right path in just about all areas and continuing to progress. The only area that pisses me off is the woman area to be honest. I'm getting pvssy and dates....but I'm not finding that ONE particular woman I want. I'm starting to think this ONE particular woman criteria needs to be modified. I'm going to be updating my "Anger" thread this week.

On another note....I put the MRTv2 on today at the MRT location over here in MI. I like the sound, nice muscle overtone added to the car. I'm going to drive it around to determine if I will add anything else but this might be pretty much it at this point.

It was $722 for the system and the install labor.

Not a bad price for better than stock sound. I updated mufflers on my Harley back when for same reasons. As I remember they were almost 40% the price you paid.

Wanted to update this thread. After riding on the MRTv2 more over the last couple of weeks, I think this sounds great

I haven't added anything else, just the MRTv2 exhaust and it has added that deep, muscle sound that I wanted. In my opinion, the stock V6 units should ALL come with something like that. It shouldn't come with that stock exhaust at all.

If the stock V6 units came with the MRTv2, I know for SURE that would further eat into the V8 unit sales because a large portion of V8 guys don't race....they just like the sound. Now you can save money on gas, insurance, and purchase price....with a good sound at the same time using the MRTv2!
