"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hey all, hows life?

Anyway, me and a girl are on pretty bad terms as of right now. Shes kinda overreacting and what not...whole scenario is too much to go into and i dont feel like explaining it haha...Anyway, when we did have something going on, i went to her house and my ID fell out of my pants pocket and now she has it. She told me she had it before things went bad, but i never got around to getting it back. When things did go bad, she told me to expect it in the mail  its been over a week now, and still the ID hasnt shown up via mail. It is possible that she has forgotten my address and is unable to send it, or that she mailed it to the wrong address, or that it just hasnt arrived yet, or even that shes just mad and threw it away on me heh. I would like it back though, so i was wondering since we're not talking to one another and such whether or not i should call her and ask what the situation is on it and whether or not she sent it in the mail.

.....Maybe she's not sending it on purpose so that i will call :p
not going to happen haha.

She thinks i did something wrong to her so if i call she'll probably think im trying to fix the situation with her... Realistically i didnt though....if you want details just look up other recent posts by me.

ALSO, this same girl's birthday is coming up :p , and i was gonna call her on the day just to wish her a happy birthday, not to say anything else, like about what happened for example. It's just gonna be to say Happy Birthday haha...

Any thoughts on either question? Let me know.

Much appreciated:)

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

In this kind of situation, i'd text her. Wouldn't have to talk to her.

Do you want your ID back or your girl back?

If all you want is your ID, text her or call her ass up and get your it. You don't need to try to play hard to get if she stole your damn ID.

If you do want to make ammends, don't text her, call her up. Or even better, talk to her in person. I don't know what you did, but from what you said, I would bet you my protein shake money that she's really just looking for attention.

Anyway, for me, the priority would be to get that ID back, and in my opinion, you should steer away from the drama and move on.

You can call her; only if you get your ID back. :D

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.
