"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

So I was browsing through this thread the other night (GREAT info by the way!) and came across this tid bit at the end:

Make the woman WORK to get you. This doesn’t mean becoming passive or disinterested, it means going on with your life and if she wants to come along, fine, but you have some ground rules. If she isn’t consistent, then she is GONE.

This is one part of women I could never understand or gauge very well. I know it's important to be a challenge to keep the girl on her toes/into you, but I can never seem to be able to really gauge how much I should "back off" (or whatever you do to keep her attention) so her interest in you rises.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Gauge?

So, in the end, you are still working for the girl.

You are still working to understand and "gauge" how much work you should put in with the backing off.

Wrong idea. Read the paragraph again.

She must be the one working for you. You must truely be the busier, more interesting and less clingly one.

Don't "pretend" to make her feel attracted to you, you're just lying to yourself. Actually be challenging, make sure she knows that you will leave her if she doesn't put the effort in in contacting you, because you have an interesting life, and she has to convince you to make time for her.

You should never be in so deep (so to speak) that you would need to back off. Keep an active social life with hobbies, friends, work/school and other women and you will find that you'll never be in so much where you'd need to back off.
