"You Can't Argue a Woman Into Liking You"

You made your case like a lawyer. Stable job. Good guy. Ready for something real. All true. All irrelevant.

She weighed your points, nodded along, felt nothing — then fell hard for some tattooed bartender with a motorcycle and a gambling problem.

Logic is where attraction goes to die. The "22 Rules" work a level deeper, on the subconscious switches that decide within minutes whether you register as a MAN or as part of the furniture.

Stop presenting evidence. Start flipping switches.

Over the past 9 months or so, I have really gotten into cigarettes and pot. I stopped pot and eased up on ciggs for 2 months for swiming, but I'm back on and been smoking about bud almost every day and a pack a day for the past 7 months.

But I have such easy access to it (friend deals), that it's just too tempting.

But not anymore. I finally feel the need to let go of all this crap. It's been slowly and slowly bringing me to the bottom of the barrel mentally and physically.

I never have any energy anymore and when I tried swimming again, I felt tired after a few laps, whch was extremely unusual for me. My short term memory has gone to hell, I can barely remember what happened 2 days ago. It sometimes actually feels weird being sober sometimes and I'm always thinking about toking up again. Whoever said pot wasn't addictive, lied. Mentally, it can be VERY addictive.

Cigarettes are a whole different story. I've tried quitting before, and failed. But I didnt go through with it. This time I will.

I'm actually burning out at the moment from an earlier session. But today I realized that finally I need to get my life on check because this **** is bringing me down.

From now on:

-No pot at all, not even on a rare occasion
-No cigarettes AT ALL. Even if I'm going insane, I'm going to pull through.
-Swim workout 5 times a week. Gym 3 times a week. Gotta get my ass back in shape.

The point of this is to get myself back to being sober again and taking better care of my health.

I will update this thread daily with my struggle for quitting cigarettes and pot.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.
