Prom Dilemma

Okay, so I was seeing this 1 girl (went on 1 date) and it was a chill date, but nothing happened. So I called her to hangout a week later and she was up for it, but when I called to confirm the day of she said she was tired and we should hangout a following day. She started asking me about prom and thats when I asked her, she said yeah, but told me she just got into a relationship w/ her best friend a few days before I asked her. She said he doesn't want her going, so I NEXT'd her.

My prom is in 2 weeks, so I need to find a date fast. All the girls I know already have dates. I met this 1 girl a few months back at a party and we talked on AIM. She invited me to her sweet 16 which was last night so I went with my friends. I want to call her today to hangout tonight, but the thing is I barely know her so when would it be okay to ask her to prom? I need to secure a date soon!

bump...

ugh...I called her yesterday to hangout at like 4 (to hangout later that night) she said yah..gimme a call later tonight since I didn't have plans at the time. I called her back at 7, but she didn't pickup or call me back.

Should I call her tomorrow and ask to chill tuesday night? Should I bring up the fact she didn't pickup her phone or call back or just forget about it...?

U don't have much time. Keep workin on this girl but Have a few others in your pocket too. And keep on truckin. Good luck findin a date. I just had a friend get turned down by 4 girls and then two days before prom a younger HB8 asked if he'd like to take her.... lucky SOB

The thing is..I don't really have any other girls to ask besides her.
