"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

I am in a bit of a confused point right now...my ex-girlfriend and I who have been broken up for a long time now (like 3 or something years b/c she cheated on me) now and we are sorta distant friends now. Lately i've been trying to get her interested in me, and we talked on the phone one time and she did not show much interest as far as the phoen was concerned (she was with her "buddies"). Then this weekend i was outside of this restaurant/club for a friend of mine (who is her roomate as well)'s birthday and she saw me and we greeted and i basically did not give her any attention. Then later on that night i was at the bar chillen with some friends and she came and appoached me to dance, and so i went with her but i just stood there and she asked me why i was not dancing and i told her i did not want to dance with her, then she gave me this look (a mix of dissappointment/disbelief) then i told her when she comes down to austin (where i go to school) we will go to a club. Then i went back to ignoring her and talking to her best friend (who is distantly related to me). Then like 5-10 minutes later she comes back and starts being really flirty (she is a flirt to begin with), then she keeps holding my hand and stuff and putting her hand on my leg and stuff, but i dont really show much attention then we start having some small talk, then she goes off and dances with this guy and apperantly (from a 3rd partys view) she kept on staring at me while she was dancing with him.

-Just wondering what the hell is going on, and whether or not its possible to get back into her pants...(its more of a pride thing than feelings for me)

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

PRIDE?!!?!?!

If you want PRIDE, stop pursuring someone who cheated on you and who is clearly gaming you for fun.

Get some self-respect...
