Some of you may remember I cold turkey ended by 1-year long LTR with a girl that went to Alaska for the summer.

Fast forward. She came back two weeks ago. And of course I didn't call.. But today, I really had an intense dream about her, and I wanted to give it a shot.
Shot her an e-mail saying:

I still have some of your belongings. What do you want me to do with them?

( Some of you guys may blame me for this... But I am human, I slip-up from time to time as well.. I felt bad immediately after sending this, but bear with me.)

She calls me. We set up a date. I will drop her sh!t right away. Ended up going to her house and banging her. It didn't help that she gained +15 pounds in 3 months, good grief!... Still gave me a rock-star BJ and that did the trick. That's the sweet success part.

Now let's come to the hard-truth: (Of course this doesn't hurt me even a bit because I am practically in a relationship with the Boston intern I mentioned above)

She found a 37-y-old park ranger in Alaska, and she's going to live with this guy right after her finals, in Fairbanks. She already slept with him and another dude in Alaska, claiming she did all that after we broke up.

I looked her in the eye and told her: Nancy I don't give a damn! As she saw me really comfortable, she opened up more and more .. Telling me all about her "adventures" in Alaska.

I told her we will see each other again, as FWB (as Fvck Buddies) rather but I don't know if I'll ever do it again. She was fatter, she stunk somewhat and overall she just didn't seem like the same girl. I guess I needed to know that I could still have her.

My dopamine levels are up (at least the Boston-chick is skeletor-skinny and she's coming next Wednesday) and I am happy.

She also thanked me for cutting the relationship so swiftly, she said she could never do it like that! Don Juan points +

It all turned out better for me, and for her. She should seek out her life, she's young. And if she wants to have kids, and this guy will provide that for her, more power to them.

My point is, this story could have been a sad SoSuave story of a guy who ended up being cheated, humiliated and left for dead.

But it all depends on how you look at things. I am glad this girl doesn't hate me and I don't hate her. I am glad women multi-date. It makes us be able to multi-date as well.

I know she's not normal, but who cares, honestly? I am busy writing my first paper to IEEE-TED. I have a life and priorities ;P

I think you have handled this all pretty well, mised the initial thread so went back and read it (VU's podcast wouldnt load though grrr!)

one could argue the getting back in touch with her was AFC but like you say no one is perfect and lets face it, if we all got a no strings bang and a rocking BJ out of it, we'd all be contacting exs!

Dont think you messed up at all, far from it. the NC rule is a bit of an absolute around here and generally Id subscibe to it, only do it if you are in a good frame and can walk away, you did. job done
