"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Possibly wishful thinking. Does she mean anything by this?

This concerns the girl I’m supposedly dating from the last thread I’ve made.

Anyway, we haven’t spoken for two days until she sent me a picture on Messenger.

It reads:

“Therapeutic Education

Sexual relationships

No contradictions”

And the caption “I’m relieved ”

Seems strange to send this...

I hate overthinking, but it struck me as meaning something.

Any idea how I should respond?

“You trying to suggest something?”

Or something else?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Update:

She’s told me that this month is going to be difficult because of her exams (she’s studying to become a nurse). She said we could try a Sunday. I told her that we’d see and to keep in touch.

I think this is a dead end.

If she sends you a text that is confusing, just reply and say "I'm not following what you are trying to commincate?" And let her clarify.

Ignore. Only allow Netflix and chill .Don't meet up outside the house. No more text respond . Go have sex.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Your update basically said that she told you she was going to be very busy for a long time.

Text her and tell her to hit you up when she had some free time.

Go find other women to date

Yeah, I’ve told her to get in touch when she’s less busy.

So is it less about her not being interested and more about her being too busy?

I have no experience of the time demand one has when they’re studying to be a nurse, but I can understand it’ll be quite a bit.

Sending the original message that you don’t understand and confuses you means she doesn’t have the nerve to tell you what’s really on her mind, so don’t expect any decent answers from her. She’s either not interested anymore or it’s the wrong time in her life to get involved with you.
Find other women.

If one studies to be a nurse, they don't have much time for anything. She might be free during one weekend but there's basically no chance she'll be dating anyone unless she's just using it as an excuse and doesn't want to see you.
By reading what you wrote, however, I'm guessing she might be too busy and at the same time doesn't really care about going out with you. But she did leave a maybe.

Simple solution is to stop caring, leave the door open for the future, and spin plates.

I'm not sure why it matters one way or the other? There's nothing for you there, look elsewhere.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
