I'm not getting even remotely snippy. I'm just trying to answer your questions, in as truthful a manner as I am able.

I do have a certain amount of disdain for the more extreme PUA views, so you are correct in picking that up. These extreme views stick out at me like a sore thumb, just as you are apparently more inclined to ignore the extreme views and focus on the sensible side instead.

Of course, some might consider my views to be extreme (I can't recommend marriage, for example). We all have our own opinions, do we not? Or its it mandatory that we all kneel before the altar of Pook and believe every bit of PUA dogma that is fed to us, without examining whether or not it has actual merit? I'm too naturally cynical to do this. I find the topic of attraction and seduction interesting, and I registered on this site, but I've never joined any cult here.

I've picked up a lot of good tips here, and the forum has been especially helpful with developing and maintaining good inner game and confidence. But unlike many posters, I don't feel like PUA Theory has saved my life or anything like that. Most of the good bits of advice on here are variations of various things I heard when I was growing up. Maybe this is partly because when I was growing up in the 60s, there was still a strong masculine foothold left in society. It was well on the way to becoming liberalized, and feminized, but I'm sure it was nothing like growing up in society today. The idea of being raised in the culture today is enough to make me vomit.

Anyway, not sure what the fuss is about. You agree with me, apparently, that the 10/90 percentage is incorrect, which is all that I'm saying.

The way it's worded is misleading.

Maybe it should be something like, "80 percent of the ONS hookups are had by 20 percent of guys." That might be closer to reality.

I totally get DJjizzyjeff's point that 20 perfect of guys don't have the time or inclination to provide sex to 80 percent of sexually active women LOL. Is it their life job to provide stud service to the female population? Probably not lol.

The pickup community often only considers "sex" to be same night pulls from a bar/club/party, etc. or more recently maybe online too. If you're not having sex from pulls, you're not having sex at all lol. That's NOT my view, but a common view in the Community.

So I think the confusion stems from Community guys considering sex to be all or mostly SNL/ONS sex.

But if you look purely at ONS', it absolutely is a minority of men pulling them off. There shouldn't be any question about that one. That's where the 80/20 (or 78.25/21.75 lol) rule comes close to reality.

Nobody suggests that one should "kneel and believe dogma". Conversely, I don't understand the necessity of continually posting the 10/90 that you do, when few people are making that claim.

I didn't think that I've posted that much on the 10/90 percentage, at least not recently. But if you say I have, I'll take your word on it. I probably post too much in general.

Again, I am just posting my perception to that statement because I have seen it from you several times now and it always appears to be flippant and in disagreement with the general concept as opposed to disagreeing with the extreme level of those numbers themselves.

I've said several times now I have no problem with the 20/80 concept, so that's something you've been reading into it yourself. Djjizzyjeff has a thread right now openly ridiculing the 20/80 concept, why aren't you taking issue with him?

There are definitely guys on here who do believe the top studs are going around screwing everyone's wives and girlfriends. These are the same guys who think every wife and girlfriend is secretly cheating. Certainly some wives and girlfriends are cheaters. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say about 50%.
Some would say more, some less.

I personally believe a more accurate phrase would be "20% of the men are getting 80% of the sex".

I've always taken it to mean "20% of the guys have banged 80% of the women". Like maybe some of the more popular guys had sex with a number of girls in high school, then later moved onto clubs and bars and were banging a lot of girls. Maybe they lied to them to get into their pants, or not. Maybe they didn't need to. Then maybe they get married to some chick, but fool around on her with some of the girls at the office or whatever. Rinse and repeat with several other such guys, and by the time all is said and done, maybe you get something like 20% of the guys having had 80% of the women.

The problem I have with the way you are putting it, take a guy like 5string or somebody, who is monogamous, but does it everyday with his wife. He may be getting sex just as often as anyone, but it's just not with as many different partners.
