Yes, not only does Ivey have the balls to bluff, he has knowlege of both the tendencies of the opposing player, and the cards out on the table, so he has *wisdom and sagacity* so that he knows the bluff will work.

Jacksons mistake was not pushing his stack when he reraised a second time. It gave Phil the chance to move him off the pot.

I don't think it was a dumb hand that Jackson played. He did have 5 6 offsuit, but heads-up play is way different and almost anything goes. Yes, I'm sure PHIL IVEY was able to pick up on tells that told him Jackson had nothing, tells that most people wouldn't pick up on. I'd bet that the tells had much more to do with betting patterns and tendencies than anything physical.

It would have been tough for Jackson to go all-in from a 4 to 1 chip disadvantage. I think he was really trying to sell value betting with the Jacks, and somehow Phil Ivey saw through it.

You can feel the disappointment from Jackson when Ivey Reraised him, and after he did you could see Jackson was thinking alot with his body language.

Ivey obviously saw this but even with that it takes alot of guts to go all in with nothing. Ivey probably put him on a pair of 7's.

Ivey even bluffed a guy to fold his set during wsop, its kinda funny though. Stuff like this happens when you think too much.

Obviously you've never played the game. Bluffing is way more than betting and betting until your opponent folds. That might work against a bad, tight player. Phil Ivey's skill in bluffing is that he can convince the best players in the world that he has a certain hand through various betting behaviors.

Sharpest reply thus far to this thread. I give Phil Ivey all the credit in the world for reading his opponent... but lets not forget he had a substantial chip advantage where he has leeway to attempt to lean on his opponent with bets and raises...
