"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Alright so this happened a little while back freshman yr in college (im about to be a sophomore in august). One day I was in my dorm a little bored and went out to go get food and find something to do @ the same time.

So Im walking and I pass by this tanning salon that has a sexy ass girl sitting in the front desk. I pass by get my food and on the way back I walk in. I say something like "hey im ready for my tan now" (btw im black). So she looks at me with a little smirk and confused face, she asked if I had an. appointment and I said I dont need one. Long story short we ended up having a good laugh, but she had graduated college and felt she was too old for me *sigh*

But can someone evaluate this situation, is it effective? What could I have done better?

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

I love the playful attitude. Great approach! The playful attitude will never lead you wrong. The only time I can see it backfiring is when her cat died. She was laughing and stayed interested in the conversation so those were all great signs. Well played in my eyes, sir!

thanks, the problem with it is ever since college started I feel Ive lost my sense of humor and have become way too serious. That day I just felt loose and my old self so it went smooth. I wish I had that same feeling daily.

Playful is pretty much all I really know how to do. I hear that it confuses some girls since they're unsure of if you're serious or not. When girls give pushback, you gotta keep pushin harder, in a playful way of course, and eventually they usually wear down and give their number.
