I decided to take a small break from lifting and today is 2 weeks since my last workout. I care for my Mom where I have to lift her which is dead weight of 140lbs.

Well yesterday one of the nurses that stopped by asked if I still worked out and I told him I have been taking a break the pass 2 weeks he responded and said it looks like you just been lifting recently as I look cut.

I am 6-3 235 been doing the big 3 for 3 years now and never felt I was cut until he mentioned this.

Now trying to piece it together I also wasn't getting the protein per body weight I had been consuming and actually felt I lost some size but the scale was the same but when I look in the mirror I don't see cut but I still see the bulk.

Is this normal to not see yourself as others might see you and surely is it possible to look cut when you've not even been doing high reps sets?

Thanks for any insight or similar experiences.

OK now that you got that out of your system Kerpal I realize what I wrote was actually way off but I should have wrote not eating like a pig the last 2 weeks and not consuming the body weight protein grams would this give a bulk body a cut look without working out?

Just trying to figure out what this nurse saw is all when he said I look cut when all I see in the mirror is bulk.

Who knows? Unless you ask him directly there's no way you will ever find out. After all, it's his opinion that you looked 'cut'. Another person might say you looked bulky.
Maybe he just fancies you? lol :eek:

I resumed my workout last evening and surprisingly after two weeks I didn't loose any strength actually I felt like a bull going at it felt good to get back after a small break and feel great this morning not bad for an old man.

To be honest, only criticisms/opinions I'd take with seriousness are those who regularly are in your gym/train seriously as for the majority of the public...they know jack ****!:rock:
