I am a new poster here, and by reputation I hear this website is excellent for discussion.
I recently visited Seoul, Korea to live with my friends who I have known for years over the internet for one month. Basically, we're all rich poker players who have been competitive in the live and online poker scene for three - four years now. They told me to visit and how crazy the night clubbing + girl scene is out here, and being the AFC that I am, I will try anything to get to that shiny bright end of the glory cave. I booked my flight after my most recent poker tournament had ended, and I've been here for two weeks. The first night out they took me to a 'booking club'. Basically, you pay for a big room where a waiter constantly comes in and out of the room giving you a tray of beers, liquid, and fruit plates. The punchline to this clubbing scene is
that the waiters drag girls from the dancefloor + outer club area into your room and sit them down next to you. You feed them drinks, fruit, and begin hitting on them in hopes to get take them home if they like you. They aren't hookers or anything: they're normal girls. In Korea males are a bit more shy so the booking method is designed to eliminate the whole nervousness of approaching a girl. So that being said, I'm asking if anyone here has any experience in the booking club scene here in Seoul. I have spent two weeks here trying effortlessly to pick up a girl, but because I don't speak Korean the conversation goes to sh_it pretty fast. The girls here obviously would prefer a man who speaks Korean, or a white guy, however I don't fit into either category. Weight wise, i'm 6'5'' and 295 lbs, so im a big guy with a noticable yet reasonable sized gut. My buddies here all speak Korean and are white, and they seem to be having great success here with the girls. I have yellow fever pretty bad, and I'm really interested in hitting on some hot chicks and not failing for once. That being said, please discuss fellas.
