There's some sites going around selling pheromes, and I was wondering what you lads think of them... The testimonials sound very appealing, things like "girls approach me much more often" but I was wondering if this is true, or a load of crap.

I'm sure its a factor on some level. There are many factors that constitute attraction though and that sure isn't a big one.
