Blaming the CEO of a health insurance company oversimplifies a deeply complex issue. Healthcare is broken due to misaligned incentives, high premiums for small business owners, denials, rising pharmaceutical costs, and more. Healthcare also isn’t free, and the same way you likely wouldn’t work for free, neither would others in our healthcare system. Real change requires deep, conceptual reforms, not cosmetic fixes. What’s even more troubling is the celebration of a man’s death, as while he was the CEO, this wasn’t his company, and CEOs are beholden to shareholders, boards, and investors, meaning the issues at hand span well beyond the CEO…

The real obstacle is the paralysis of the political system, driven by issues like gerrymandering, primaries, media that reinforces its audience’s biases, and social media users who spread false information without skepticism. Until these factors change, progress will remain out of reach, and people will continue focusing on blame instead of solutions.

In Canada, more than 70% of healthcare spending is publicly funded through general tax revenues, with provinces and territories covering 78% of the cost while the federal government covers the rest. Essentially, healthcare is 'free' in the same way public education is, and in 2022, the system spent an average of about $8,563 per Canadian on healthcare. There can still be out-of-pocket costs for things like prescription drugs, dental care, and certain medical devices, depending on the province but your employer usually covers those.

Let me give you a normal answer. My initial response said FREE LUIGI, but, imma admit that's kinda dumb and childish.

By the way nobody wants free this or that. But neither do we want to go bankrupt due to a physical issue. In my country there is no private healthcare by the way. Plastic surgery for aesthetics and perhaps elderly care is the only thing that is a personal choice, any other form of healthcare is government funded . Similar to Canada and every somewhat normal functioning country. Additional medicine must be paid out of pocket and even then tons of people's biggest financial burden remains healthcare.

You guys in the US of A are seriously hundreds of miles away from a decent functioning system and country and its EMBARRASSING.

I understand that you advocate for a healthcare system where the government covers most or all healthcare expenses, and that you are anti-capitalism, with the idea that big corporations and financial institutions control much of the world, including healthcare, and need to be dismantled for true progress. I agree with you on that—the power of big corporations and investors in shaping healthcare and society at large is a major problem.

However, I don’t believe that violent actions will bring about meaningful societal change. As I mentioned in my previous posts, it’s not just about CEOs—it’s about the shareholders, boards, and investors who have the real power. Taking out a CEO might provide a temporary sense of satisfaction, but all it does is create a more heavily guarded, insulated group of future CEOs. It’s the system itself that needs to change, not just one individual. Real reform requires addressing the deeper structures at play, not reacting to individual tragedies.

To illustrate my point, one of my customers manufactures bulletproof cars, and he told me that his biggest clients are politicians in the U.S. and drug lords in Mexico. As you can imagine, his customers keep coming back after murders or new elections because the system stays the same. Whether it’s politicians or corporate leaders, the core issues remain unless we address the entire structure.

Again, I believe real change comes through systemic reforms, not through violence or the targeting of individuals. You have to be sneaky with it, they will shut down any revolutionary movement quick since they are more powerful than the average Joe.

Violence has always been a way to force people to change things. I do NOT condone Violence, but I do think if you suppress people, they'll gonna revolt.

Before ever knowing who dude was I was 99% sure it had to do something with being a victim directly or indirectly.

We all are here typing because our predecessors used and survived violence. Its deeply ingrained in our system. That's why he gets so much sympathy : more and more people cam relate to this kinda behaviour. The only way to stop this is by giving people a fair chance to build something.

So basically this murder needed to happen to set an example. Yes that may sound "sick" to a person living in a "peaceful bubble ". You'll see more and more of this. In poor regions like Africa and South America ( where my roots are) this is completely normal tbh. Suppress people long enough and they will act on behalf of themselves or as in this case on behalf of their loved ones.

In my home country the rich will live in compounds, sheltered from the "peasants " who are constantly trying to invade, like a zombie apocalyptic movie. The discrepancy between the haves and the have-nots is getting out of hand and eventually NATURE will find ways to even the score. May sound harsh, but it better be a warning to people who believe they are safe inside their ivory towers ; they are never really safe.

To elaborate on what you wrote, one of the four masculine archetypes is the King. A man who embodies the King exudes dignity, grace, and leadership, balancing his commitment to others with the ability to both serve and be served. He would also ins loyalty and respect through clear guidance and decision-making, creating order and allowing objectives to be achieved.

However, too many of these qualities can lead to the Tyrant, a shadow of the King. The Tyrant is driven by narcissism, sees power as finite, and lashes out with abuse to protect his fragile authority, often exploiting others for personal gain.

On the other hand, lacking King-like qualities results in the Weakling, a passive shadow. The Weakling relinquishes control, becomes insecure, and struggles with decision-making, often using manipulation and control to mask his deep fears and inadequacies.

So, all these people you mention—who are insecure, have low self-worth, still let their mother or father make decisions for them, or cater to their boss’s or wife’s every whim—would fall into the Weakling category.

There are some Kings in here, but also some Tyrants and Weaklings as well.

They are testing the limits of the public's gullibility. Look again at the pic of the person "captured" at Mcdonald's I posted on page 1. It's a completely different nose, the pic above the dude has an upturned nose, the dude at Mcdonald's has a downturned nose.

Politicians are falling all over themselves to be the one grandstanding for the most attention. The face just behind his right shoulder is the NYC mayor, who has been caught taking bribes from Turkey but still refuses to resign. He is grateful for the distraction.

Murder in the 1st degree in NY state only applies in limited circumstances, like killing a cop. An act of terrorism is another. They are charging him with terrorism, too, to make a big show of it. Whom did he terrorize? CEOs?

I hope Mangione goes down a hero and we move from mass shootings to taking out greedy CEO's in the back pocket of government and playing insider trading games. Nobody should get paid $10M per year.

We got rid of the Mafia but replaced them with sophisticated crime organizations called American corporations. These corporations have been extorting the people for years, and our government is no different.
