How exactly does oneitus affect those who have it? Obviously it makes them super needy towards the object of their affection but does it otherwise change how they are and how they interact with others?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

It effects your mindet yes. As for personality, no. Some extreme cases it may happen though.

Usually oneitis just makes you a puppy to the person you have oneitis towards.

It's a crush. You're completely reactive to the person's presence and actions. Sure, love and liking someone is great, but there's a distinction.
