“Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there." - Rumi
Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.
You've been "getting ready" for two years.
She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.
Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.
You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.
Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.
Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.
Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.
The critical point is that I was very likely going to end up having sex with a number of women that night but I slipped up by judging the girl that was into me for something that had happened in her past.TheSlasher said:Ah, so there were four people involved aside from you? They happen to be the girl you're supposed to have, the gay guy who was a ****blocker and was hitting on you, the boyfriend and his girlfriend who were introducing you to their world and were trying to save you? What exactly is this world? Or was it that the girl you were supposed to have and the girlfriend of the said dude were the same?
When you start getting sex on a regular basis and stop being a thirsty ass poosy beggar, you will start to care about the manosphere.Manosphere vs feminism
Ah, the shrill cries of those who know that they are right and just and have god on their side. Well here's a news flash. Men and women both enjoy having sex, and by creating a great divide between the sexes you are both helping precisely no one. I don't care if the patriachy is enslaving women, or if the great injustice of society is driving men to extinction. If it's not getting me sex, I don't want to hear it.
You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.
Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.
She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.
Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.
You must be kidding me. Where in any of my threads does it say that I have a problem getting regular sex? I have consistently had 2-3 girls (with sex) on rotation for the last year and a half.LiveFreeX said:When you start getting sex on a regular basis and stop being a thirsty ass poosy beggar, you will start to care about the manosphere.
Agreed 1000% that it is retarded. I also think the term "game" is just as retarded though. DJ's (real men), shouldn't be playing any kind of games. You should be 100% YOURSELF and be 100% AT EASE WITH BEING YOURSELF. Games are for manginas, PUA's, beta, ect (generally false people who lack a healthy level of self esteem and confidence - therefore they need to act instead of just be).Text game vs phone game
Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.
Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?
You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.
Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.
Agreed. The reasons PUAs are so fond of games is that they are just looking to fool the girl long enough to get into her pants. All they have to do is lie or pretend to be someone else, and by the time they are found out they have hit it and quit it.adam225 said:I also think the term "game" is just as retarded though. I guess it depends on how you look at the word "game" in our context. To me, it implies being false. You'll never be happy being false, period. You are just a desperate act. I'd rather have no women and be my true self than have to lower myself to the level of pretending to get them. It's pathetic....G_Govan said:The argument about "game" is way too broad a topic to simply dismiss it and claim "being yourself" is the answer. This requires a thread of it's own.
Way too reductionist.
I do agree that the term "Game" summons up kind of a greasy image. It doesn't necessarily have to be that way though. Really, all "Game" means is the way that you interact with women, and especially your ability to attract and seduce them. It doesn't have to mean using PUA tricks and techniques. Rollo talks about eveyone having game, even betas use "beta game".adam225 said:I guess it depends on how you look at the word "game" in our context. To me, it implies being false. Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.
Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers. Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.
I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.
Most intelligent thing anyone can say. Although if implemented can drive a person seriously mad.noobolgy said:All I know is that I know nothing.
What is your "true self"? People aren't static, we're very malleable within the culture around us.adam225 said:I guess it depends on how you look at the word "game" in our context. I was with you for the most part, but I don't understand why you would label a guy who decides to become a jerk to get laid, as having no convictions.zekko said:I do agree that the term "Game" summons up kind of a greasy image. Regarding being false, I agree. If you have true confidence, then you will expect women to value you based on your true self, and not some false front you put up. That is true inner game. Of course, for this to work you have to have some actual value, which is why self improvement is so important.
Guys who turn themselves into "jerks" in order to attract women, I always thought that was the ultimate supplicating act, the ultimate in pedestalizing women: Putting aside your own convictions in order to get women. Of course, a lot of guys don't have any convictions in the first place, so in that case I guess that wouldn't apply.
I get called a jerk by women also sometimes, usually when I'm teasing them about something, or joking around with them. It's their way of teasing me back. They don't really think I am an actual jerk.G_Govan said:What is your definition of a jerk? I get called a jerk by women in all sorts of situations. Mostly when I disagree with something or put my foot down by upholding my "convictions".
She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.
You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.
She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.
The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
