.. piss me off.
But, I'm not sure if that's the point of this thread or not. Or if there is even a point.
This is about a situation I encountered recently at work. I work at a popular clothing store and we had a gentleman come in aged about 40-45 who clearly had his face burned somehow. Of course, everyone in the place is starring. I walk up to him and ask him if he needs some help - he says he is shopping for his son & could use some help. I start shooting the **** with this guy when I quickly realized he was an awesome guy and even though everyone in the place was starring at him and even maybe a little freaked out by how he looked - it didn't bother him. He starts talking to me about his son, and his family and compliments me on my fashion (no homo, you freaks) and asks me what I would recommend for his teenager son. He asks me what I am studying in school & I tell him I'm majoring in fire science - he goes on to tell me he was a fire fighter & just gave me some little advice on the fire service.
Anyways, I recommend some stuff for his son & then I tell him to come up and I will ring him out. We keep talking and I'm just so impressed with this guy's character even though people were starring at him he just didn't give a ****. I don't know if I could handle that. Here's where I my stomach dropped a ton - I literally felt sick. I rang up his stuff I don't remember how much it was, but he hands me a credit card. And I move my finger from the top of the card and realize it was one of the credit cards where there is a picture on it. It was a picture of him before he had gotten burned. He was a good looking guy before the burns and it just really sunk it to me how terrible that is.
In short, this guy was a fhking bad ass.. and you idiots who complain about how you look need to quit *****ing - it could be a lot worse.
