People getting annoyed because I'm "following my dreams"

So long story short I had a professional career. I went another way to do something I'm actually passionate about. Dogs.

Just before I started and starting phase. Literally got all sorts of negativity, you can't do it, isn't any market, you will never make it, it's so stupid, you're head in the clouds e.t.c. blah blah blah.

I ignored the **** out of everyone around me.

I built it and they came.

Business is starting to do really good and set it's foothold.

It's clear to everyone around me I'm going to make it. Literally going to make more than most naysayers doing what I love.

Now I'm getting comments like "it's alright for you, you're following your dreams, I'm stuck her have no time opertunity", had quite a few ****ty comments, just how they are fired are changed.

It's now coming from.the perspective why they can't do it, how I have opertunity (not like I care what they are doing have asked or what their perspective).

Biggest bit of advice I could give. Is ignore everyone around you. They are negative because they are pussies.

Seek out people that are where you want to be, seek out people better than you . Let them be your muse.

My biggest teacher was/is gambling. Basically gambling to make money and doing things that are positive expected value, EV +.

The maths doesn't lie. Started with with £10 turned it into £10,000 in the first a year. Been snowballing ever since, just a hobby something I do for fun.

Again a ridiculous amount of criticism, negativity, warnings i get from others. Plus all the usual stuff, why they can't do it e.t.c.

My success taught me mostly people's advise is self serving to them and being given to protect their ego and isn't in your best interest.

Maybe it's sports gambling. If you're knowledgeable enough about a sport you can see thru bs that the other sports gambling participants can't. OP could be buying a selling stocks too.

Most people lack vision and the strength to take risks.

But risk takers get rewarded.

My great grandfather immigrated to America as a 20yo from Germany. No money, no family. Didn't even speak English.

But he had work ethic, drive, desire, balls, the ability to take risks, and the confidence to make it happen.

He ended up starting a farming and ranching operation that grew into multiple corporations and operations in several states. It supported 3 generations for almost 90yrs.

My great grandpa heard all the same things you have heard as did my grandpa when he took it to the next level. There were many sacrifices and a near bankruptcy but they stayed the course and were very successful.

It's no different than the guys on here making excuses of why they can't get girls and that it's too hard.

Props to you for following your passion. It's much more fulfilling.

Takes balls to do what you did and most people don’t have them. People also hate being outshined and will try to hold you back so you don’t out do them. Kudos for doing what you love. That passion gives you more drive and will ultimately make you more successful.

Took me a LONG time to get this mindset, was stuck in a rut forever. Mostly because I listened to people and just did what was expected of me and what I was "supposed" to.

As stupid as is sounds hustling money / gambling is what truly set me free. Gave me the drive, confidence, self belief and make me less risk adverse.

Only at the start of my journey. Got quite big plans regarding my business. It's in motion and is only going to snowball from here.

100% my own mind and not believing in myself enough to just do has been my biggest hurdle.

Good for you, man! I left a very lucrative career to do something I love as well it pays less but I’ve never been happier. It also probably limits my access to a certain class of woman but I’m pretty happy with the class of woman it does give me access to, and I’ve noticed no decline in quality or accessibility.

I have a girlfriend. Lol if I didn't I could probably charm the pants off a hottie even if I was an unemployed tramp living off the street.

I think what you do only matters to women, when she's trying to set up house or have already set up house with you.

Still no reason to change your path. Gotta stay true to yourself.
